-O atual momento do clube é OK, nada espetacular.

Nottingham Forest have informal deal in place to sign £17m+ star in January

Nottingham Forest have made an excellent start to the Premier League season and they will look to keep that form going right through to January, when they will strengthen their squad once more if recent reports are to be believed.

The Reds are unbeaten in their opening four games of the season, with Saturday’s shock 1-0 win over Liverpool being the highlight of this impressive start.

Nottingham Forest transfer news

After the victory over Liverpool, the week didn’t start in the best way for Forest, as their talisman, Morgan Gibbs-White was linked with a move to Manchester City. The midfielder has been in impressive form for a while now, so much so that the Blues have compiled a detailed dossier on him. City’s scouting network are said to be huge admirers of the player.

A recent report meanwhile has stated that Forest are among the teams interested in signing defender Oumar Solet on a free transfer. The defender left Red Bull Salzburg last weekend after his contract was terminated, and he could now be in line for a move to England, as Aston Villa, Wolves, and West Ham are also keen on landing the player.

While Nuno Espirito Santo looks to bolster his squad now, he and his transfer department also have their eyes on an attacker they would like to bring in during January.

Nottingham Forest agree likely deal to sign £17m+ star

According to Turkish media, relayed by Sport Witness, Nottingham Forest are looking to sign Galatasaray attacker Baris Alper Yilmaz when the January transfer window opens. The 24-year-old, who can play up front or out wide, was linked with a move to the City Ground in the summer but a move never worked out.

But Forest’s interest hasn’t disappeared, as they are said to have worked out an early agreement with the Turkish giants to sign the 24-year-old in the new year.

Galatasaray are looking to get a sizeable fee for the winger, wanting at least 20 million euros, which is roughly £17 million plus, meaning it will be a hefty transfer for the club’s sporting director, Ross Wilson, to work on. Whatever the price ends up, it seems Wilson is getting a head start on proceedings by agreeing everything before the window even opens.

Yilmaz joined Galatasaray in July 2021, and since arriving he has been a consistent member of their starting XI, chipping in with goals and assists. Last season, he scored six goals and recorded seven assists in 37 Süper Lig games, also making a hot start to the current campaign.

His form has also earned him recognition on the international stage, as he’s been capped 21 times by Turkey and has scored two goals along the way. The versatile forward started all five of his country’s games in Euro 2024, as they made it to the knockout stage.

Mikel Arteta really wants Arsenal to sign £203,000-a-week Real Madrid star

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly "crazy" about signing a Real Madrid star, and one who is absolutely pivotal at the Bernabeu.

Mikel Arteta signs new three-year deal at Arsenal

The Gunners boss, in some fantastic news for the club and its supporters, committed his long-term future in north London by putting pen to paper on fresh terms this week.

Arteta signed a new three-year deal at Arsenal – which was announced on Thursday – and his fresh terms have put the Spaniard in line with the Premier League's highest-earning managers like Man City boss Pep Guardiola.

Arteta is now rumoured to be earning £288,000-per-week at the Emirates Stadium, coming as just reward for a tactician who's played such an instrumental role in transforming Arsenal back into an elite English side.

“We are really happy that Mikel has signed a new long-term contract," said sporting director Edu Gaspar to Arsenal's official website.

"It’s a very positive and proud moment for everyone at the club and an important part of what we’re all working towards.

“Mikel has shown his qualities since the very first day he joined us, not only as a football manager, but as a person with wonderful values. We have a strong belief in what we are doing and what we want to achieve together. Mikel’s new contract gives us stability and clear direction as we aim for new heights.”

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta

Arteta's original deal was set to expire next year, so there will be a real sense of relief that Arsenal are keeping hold of their head coach until 2027. After that news, Edu and Arteta can also continue their work on transfer planning for the future without any distractions.

Whilst their looming North London Derby on Sunday takes precedent right now, alongside their trips to Atalanta and Man City next week, Arsenal are already making a head start on potential incomings for 2025.

Indeed, it is believed Arsenal have already been in contact over Benjamin Sesko, as they look to move ahead of contenders for his signature next summer. Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies is also a target for Arsenal, as the Canadian left-back can agree pre-contract terms in January ahead of a zero-cost switch later in 2025.

Arteta really wants Arsenal to sign Aurelien Tchouameni from Real Madrid

According to Spanish news outlet Defensa Central, Real Madrid's Aurelien Tchouameni is on their radar as well.

It is believed that Arteta is "crazy" about signing Tchouameni for Arsenal, and Defensa boldly claims that they wouldn't refuse letting William Saliba go to Madrid if it meant striking a deal for the France international.

The £203,000-per-week midfielder has started all four of their opening La Liga games this season, averaging an impressive match rating of around 7.27 according to WhoScored. Tchouameni has starred under Carlo Ancelotti since joining Real from Monaco for an initial £68 million in 2022, amassing 36 international caps for Les Bleus in that time.

Taking this into account, it would be a very difficult move for Edu and Arteta to pull off, despite the Premier League's big pull.

“Listen, Tchouameni is a young kid, he’s going to make mistakes but he’s a superb talent, he produces moments out of nowhere, incredible player," said pundit Rio Ferdinand during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

“Replacing Pogba in a France XI is not an easy task, but so far, Tchouaméni has been superb.

“Tchouameni showed why he plays for Real Madrid. He has the patience, talent, control, he has everything you need.”

Raphael Veiga: prestigiado no clube e trabalho “anti-frustração”

Time to go: O’Neil must sell Wolves man who earns more than Cunha & Gomes

Wolverhampton Wanderers' recruitment has seen them travel far and wide in recent times, with the club shifting their focus to South American talents over the last couple of transfer windows.

This summer alone, they completed deals for Brazilians Andre and Pedro Lima, aiming to sign talented youngsters at a bargain price, making an impact on the first team before potentially leaving for a hefty profit.

Santiago Bueno is another example, with the Uruguayan centre-back joining the club from Girona last summer after an impressive stint with the Spanish outfit in LaLiga, which saw him make 34 league appearances in 2022/23.

Santiago Bueno

The aforementioned duo will be hoping to make an immediate impact in the Premier League this season, helping Gary O’Neil’s side push for a top half finish during the 2024/25 campaign.

Andre and Lima will be looking to follow in the footsteps of another Brazilian duo in the club’s first team who have hugely impressed after their respective moves to Molineux.

Cunha and Gomes’ stats at Wolves

Forward Matheus Cunha to this day remains the club’s record signing, joining back in 2022 from Atlético Madrid for a reported £44m.

Cunha

The 25-year-old originally moved on loan with an obligation to buy, with Cunha enjoying the best goalscoring campaign of his career last season, registering 14 goals in 36 appearances in all competitions.

He’s often provided that moment of magic in the final third, as demonstrated in the 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground last season.

As for Joao Gomes, he’s enjoyed a phenomenal start to life in England after his £15m move to the West Midlands, joining from Brazilian outfit Flamengo during the January window in 2023.

The 23-year-old has since featured 48 times in the Premier League, scoring three times, including a double against Tottenham Hotspur during the 2-1 victory in North London last season.

Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes vs Arsenal

His subsequent form has seen him linked with the likes of Spurs and Liverpool – an indication of how impressive he’s been since making the move to Molineux.

However, another big-money move by the club hasn’t worked out anywhere near as well, with boss O’Neil needing to move on one current first-team member at the next opportunity.

How much Cunha and Gomes earn in 2024

Just a couple of years ago, Wolves splashed £27.5m on a deal to sign Portuguese forward Gonçalo Guedes from Spanish side Valencia on a five-year-deal.

Goncalo Guedes

However, he’s failed to prove his worth during his time at Molineux, scoring just one Premier League goal before returning to boyhood club Benfica for the second half of the 2022/23 campaign.

He subsequently was sent on two more loans, once again to Benfica, before moving to Villarreal for the remainder of last season, only scoring three goals over the two separate spells.

Guedes scored two goals against Burnley in the Carabao Cup last month, but he’s only managed 15 minutes of league football so far this season.

The 27-year-old currently earns a reported £90k-per-week as per Capology, a figure that is higher than both Cunha and Gomes, who only earn £60k and £30k-per-week respectively.

Given his ridiculously high wages and little impact at Molineux, the club desperately need to cash in on Guedes to avoid losing a huge chunk of their investment on the forward, with the hope being that there can be an escape route in one of the few markets still open across the globe.

Their recent need to sell key players such as Pedro Neto and Max Kilman highlights the club’s financial situation, with O’Neil’s side unable to carry players along the way – especially when they’re earning as much as Guedes currently does in the West Midlands.

Jonathan Wells' 73, Henry Thornton four-for push Adelaide Strikers up to No. 4

The resurgent Adelaide Strikers are looming as a BBL finals darkhorse after leaping to fourth place on the points table with a comfortable 23-run win over Melbourne Stars at Adelaide Oval. After posting 6 for 155, Strikers banked their third successive victory when their attack, spearheaded by Henry Thornton (4 for 26), restricted the Stars to 8 for 132.Only a late assault from Hilton Cartwright (49) prevented a landslide defeat for Stars, who got off to a flier before being strangled in the middle overs.Glenn Maxwell (16) signalled his intentions early, slog-sweeping Matt Short for six off the first delivery he faced. The Stars skipper should have been on his bike reverse-sweeping later that over when Fawad Ahmed grassed a regulation catch at backward point. The damage wasn’t too serious though, and Strikers were relieved when Maxwell’s cameo ended via a 147kph thunderbolt from Thornton, triggering a 4 for 16 collapse.Fawad redeemed himself when he was introduced in the powerplay, and enticed Marcus Stoinis to edge one to Short at first slip. Thornton then picked up his second scalp when Harry Nielsen snaffled a one-handed, diving catch to dismiss Beau Webster and have Stars reeling at 4 for 37, leaving too much ground for Cartwright and Joe Burns to recover.Cartwright thumped Fawad for 24 in the 17th over – including three sixes – to give his side a faint sniff. But the power-hitting counterattack came too late, and Stars’ slender hopes ended when Cartwright was caught by Short in the deep off the impressive Thornton.Earlier, Jonathan Wells stroked a career-best 73 to move to second place behind Ben McDermott on the competition’s run-scoring leaderboard. Short thumped a brisk 33 at the top but the home side’s batters were largely reigned in before Wells went big late.English import Ian Cockbain was stumped when he was deceived by a Hinchliffe wrong ‘un on 17. Jake Weatherald battled for his 17, his scratchy, sluggish knock in contrast to Wells’ clean ball striking.Wells was measured early before exploding from the moment the Strikers took the power surge in the 15th over. Wells dominated a 61-run fourth-wicket stand and crunched 40 of Strikers’ 50 runs from the last five overs to steal momentum back from the Stars.

Willian 2.0: Chelsea submit late bid to sign "the next Eden Hazard"

Chelsea's summer business has been chaotic to say the least. There have been some impressive captures with the likes of Pedro Neto and Joao Felix both arriving.

That said, there has been some controversy surrounding player exits. Conor Gallagher, Chelsea through and through, was alienated from the playing squad before joining Atletico Madrid.

Now, there is the curious case of Raheem Sterling on transfer deadline day. There are two possibilities; he stays at Stamford Bridge or heads off to Arsenal following a reported phone call with Mikel Arteta.

A striker continues to elude the Blues, although they could yet launch a late swoop for Victor Osimhen. However, in their endeavours to replace the potentially departing Sterling, they've found a winger.

Chelsea make deadline day bid

With transfer deadline day reaching its conclusion, the transfer team at Chelsea have launched a late move to bring in another attacking player.

That happens to be Jadon Sancho, the man at the centre of Sterling's future in west London.

That's according to Fabrizio Romano who stated on Friday afternoon that they were now speaking with Manchester United regarding a deal.

Here's what the ever-reliable transfer insider said…

How Sancho is similar to Willian and Hazard

Now, going from one underperforming winger in Sterling to another in Sancho might defy belief. However, this is Chelsea we're talking about. They don't do things by the book.

That said, the former Borussia Dortmund man is a captivating prospect and at his best is one of the finest wide forwards in the game.

You only need to look back at his performances in last season's Champions League when his loan side, Dortmund, reached the final.

In the semi-finals against PSG, he was electric. During the first leg, the Englishman completed 12 dribbles. That was the most by any player in a Champions League semi-final since Lionel Messi in April 2008 against United (16).

On that evidence, it's hardly a surprise that he was once described as the “the next Eden Hazard” back in 2020 by former Liverpool star Steve Nicol.

Hazard was renowned as one of the finest dribblers in the Premier League during his spell on English shores. In 2017/18, the Belgian ranked in the top 1% of positionally similar players in the top flight for progressive carries and successful take-ons per 90, illuminating how good he is at beating a player.

It's a quality he clearly shares with Sancho, who could well become Hazard incarnate by making a late move to London this summer.

What's interesting is that the United outcast is also comparable to another ex-Chelsea forward in Willian. FBRef notes that the Brazilian is the fourth-most similar player based on data across the last 365 days. Why? Well, as we can see in the graphic below, their passing metrics are largely rather alike, making a similar number of progressive passes per 90.

So, with Todd Boehly and Enzo Maresca making one last-gasp dart to sign a new player before the deadline, Sancho feels like a no-brainer on a loan deal for the rest of the campaign.

O apoio do nosso torcedor.

Imagine him & Idah: Celtic eyeing up move for "tricky" 6 ft star

Celtic look set to bolster their attacking options before they return to competitive action against Hibernian, who they beat 2-0 at the weekend in the Scottish Premiership, in the League Cup on Sunday.

The Hoops have reportedly reached an agreement with Norwich City to sign centre-forward Adam Idah on a permanent deal, following his loan spell in Glasgow during the second half of last season.

Brendan Rodgers is on the verge of bringing the Ireland international back to the club on a long-term contract, for a fee that could end up being a record for the Scottish giants.

Sky Sports have claimed that the Bhoys have agreed to pay an initial, guaranteed, fee of £8.5m to the English Championship club, with a further £1m in add-ons, alongside a 15% sell-on clause for the Canaries.

If the Hoops end up paying out all of those add-ons then it would make Idah the most expensive signing in their history, overtaking the £9m spent on Odsonne Edouard from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2018.

The 6 foot 3 marksman may not be the only forward to arrive from Norfolk before the end of the summer transfer window, though, as a new target has emerged for Celtic.

Celtic eyeing Norwich winger

According to journalist Pete O'Rourke, the Scottish giants are the latest club to join the race to sign young Norwich winger Abu Kamara this summer.

The reporter claims that the Bhoys are one of the teams 'monitoring' the 21-year-old magician, as Rodgers eyes up further additions to his attack after the deal for Idah is completed.

Earlier this month, Football Insider reported that Premier League side Southampton were preparing an offer to sign the Engand U20 international, but there have not been any further developments on their interest since then.

The same outlet had claimed earlier in the summer that Belgian giants Anderlecht are also keen on a deal to land the former Portsmouth loanee, but added that – at that time – Norwich were 'determined' to keep hold of him.

Football Insider stated, however, that the Canaries would be forced to consider a 'significant' offer for his services, although it is unclear what they would deem to be a significant amount of money for him.

Therefore, it currently remains to be seen whether or not Kamara is a viable target or someone they would like as a priority signing this month.

However, the young English forward could be an exciting addition to Rodgers' attacking options alongside Idah, who he has played alongside at youth and senior level.

What Adam Idah could bring to Celtic

Firstly, the Irish striker looks set to be a fantastic signing for the Scottish giants because he has already proven himself to be a brilliant option in the Premiership.

The 23-year-old striker has also shown that he has the quality and the mentality to pop up in crucial moments to score important goals for Celtic.

His clutch performances for the Hoops won them vital points in the Premiership title race, with two goals in a 2-1 win over Hibernian, two goals in a 3-1 win over Motherwell, and a goal in a 3-3 draw with Rangers.

His most important goal in a Celtic jersey, arguably, came in his final match as a loanee for the club, however, in the 1-0 win over Rangers at Hampden Park in the League Cup final.

Idah was quick to react to Jack Butland weakly parrying Paulo Bernardo's long-range effort back out into danger to tuck the ball past the former England international in the 90th minute – winning the trophy for his boyhood club.

As you can see in the table above, the Irish marksman did not need to start games on a regular basis to find the back of the net consistently for the Scottish giants.

He was incredibly efficient in front of goal during his time on loan in Glasgow, which suggests that he could be a lethal scorer over the course of an entire season this term – now that the striker is poised to join on a permanent basis.

Why Celtic should sign Abu Kamara

The Hoops should now look to reunite him with one of his soon-to-be former teammates by swooping for Kamara before the end of the window, as they could be an exciting pairing in the final third for Celtic.

Kamara has only made four first-team appearances to date but his form for the Canaries at youth level and his performances on loan at Portsmouth last season suggest that he is a promising talent.

The England U20 international was mainly used as a centre-forward by Norwich in their academy and racked up an eye-catching 43 goals and ten assists in 80 appearances at U21 and U18 level combined, including 31 goals in 50 U21 matches in all competitions.

Producing quality in academy football is one thing but Kamara was then able to make the step up and showcased his ability in the final third on loan with Portsmouth in League One on loan during the 2023/24 campaign.

He racked up ten goals and 11 assists in all competitions for Pompey, whilst nailing down a position on the right flank, to help them win promotion to the Championship.

As you can see in the table above, the left-footed magician was a creative threat for Portsmouth on the wing, with 41 key passes and ten assists in the third tier.

Kamara, who was once described as a "really tricky" player by journalist Josh Bunting, has proven that he can create high-quality chances at an impressive right from a wide role, albeit in League One.

Meanwhile, Matt O'Riley (13) was the only Celtic player who managed to assist more than nine goals in the Premiership last season, which suggests that the 6 foot Norwich youngster could come in and be one of the team's best creators if he can translate his form over to Scotland.

Rodgers must ruthlessly replace Celtic man who left Kyogo "frustrated"

The Hoops have been linked with new signings in his position during the summer window.

Therefore, Kamara and Idah could be an exciting pairing for the Hoops as the English wizard could create the chances for the Irishman to find the back of the net week-in-week-out.
